When I traded in the traditional corporate route to do things on my own terms, my friends said I was nuts.

Rachel B Jordan | 929 Marketing

But I knew it was right.

This business is an adventure that brings together my three past lives {no, not in the Shirley Maclane sense}. From music college grad, to raising money for human rights, to marketing Fortune 500 stuff to other Fortune 500s, I’ve learned a few things.

And I get to use what I’ve learned by helping entrepreneurs like me. Business owners who want to pursue both passion and profit.

Because you don’t have to be a Fortune 500 big fish to do big things. And you don’t need to make the most money or have the most fans or write the most blog posts or get the most subscribers or do the most things for the most minutes of the most hours of the most days all the time. Whew. That’s exhausting, isn’t it?

Basically, I’m making my mark without spamming people or working the traditional 120 hours a week. It’d be an honor to help you do that, too.

Why's it called 929 Marketing anyway?

Well, not to get all 'woowoo' on you or anything. But...you know those moments that made you who you are? Well, these numbers have shown up in each of mine. It’s not like a ‘lucky number’ thing. {Not that I begrudge your lucky numbers! My husband's is 12.}

Anyway. Launching my own business is another one of those moments. So. A name that ties in to all those other moments that have made me who I am...is kind of right on the nose. 929. It’s me. And I bring to it everything that is me so far.

we do helpful marketing.

We help busy entrepreneurs take the mystery out of their marketing. And we do it with plans that fit your business -- not some cookie-cutter you must do all the things sort of approach. If it doesn’t help you, your business, and your favorite people {ahem, that would be the clients}, we don’t do it.

Here’s what’s not going to happen around here.

You’re not going to be forced to work in this tool or that. You can work in whatever platforms fit you best. Squarespace or Wordpress. Mailchimp or Hubspot. If you want, I’ll help you pick which is best for you.

You won’t be pressured to do all the things. You’re not a global conglomerate. You don’t need every social channel ever. And you don’t need to fill the void with an endless stream of blog posts just to do them. You just need to do the things that are right for you.

Your work won’t be pushed down through a network of subcontractors and sub-subcontractors whom I don’t even know. You get me. And if help is brought in, you’ll know who they are and what they're doing.

No promises that it’ll be simple. Marketing isn’t simple. But it can make sense. And it can make a difference.
